The homeowners wanted a space that was fresh, unique, edgy, and expressed their creative nature. Efficient and compact, this younger family can enjoy a place that feels like them, and inspires them to do their work.

Farming in Northern Minnesota is tough. The winter can be unforgiving. This efficient modern farmhouse barndominium is a great mix of practicality and comfort. The design simplifies the structure, and makes the function and the heating efficient. It also provides a large attached garage and shop which allows ease of access to vehicles and other necessary equipment. All the practicality and common sense of a generational farm house both inside and out, but with the modern sensibilities of 2026.

This Lake Home needed a more functional and fun gathering space for the family to hang out, play games or eat meals together, all while soaking in the view toward the lake. This ended up portraying much more of the owner's character than before we got started.
